STEVE STARR

Steve Starr is the author of Picture Perfect-Art Deco Photo Frames 1926-1946, published by Rizzoli International Publications. A photographer, designer and an artist, he is the owner of Steve Starr Studios.
The studio, whose walls were adorned with his personal collection of over 950 original Art Deco photo frames filled with images of Hollywood’s most elegant stars of the early 20th Century, has often been visited by several celebrities that included Bette Midler, Diana Ross, Harrison Ford, and Patti LaBelle.

RYAN BESHEL

Ryan M. Beshel graduated with honors from the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Marketing and Management in December of 2009. While studying for his degree, he completed an editorial internship at Michigan Avenue Magazine assisting the editor-in-chief by transcribing interviews, writing articles and contributing ideas for inclusion in the magazine. He continued his work in the fashion industry handling public relations, promotions and brand marketing as a PR intern and personal assistant for Barbara Glass – Image and Wardrobe Consultant, writer and mentor. Ryan is currently the Director of Runway and assistant to Marie P. Anderson, the Fashion & Beauty Director at Agency Galatea – Model and Artist Management. He works closely with models to develop their potential while fulfilling the needs of each client through efficient correspondence. He scouts for new models, manages marketing materials such as comps/portfolios and books photo shoots and runway shows. He also enjoys attending industry events and promoting Chicago fashion through his successful blog, ‘The Bowtie Memoirs.’


In his free time, Ryan works as the Chief Wordsmith for successful Chicago publicist, Julie Darling of The Darling Company. Through his learned knowledge of PR, Ryan has begun to take on more challenging roles, acting as Director of Public Relations for the newly debuted menswear brand, J.Cheikh – and most recently as the Official Publicist for the Chicago Red Dress Party. His passion for people, philanthropy and his love of Chicago make him the perfect individual to take on such an event. Through the relationships he has made and his careful execution, Ryan is devoted to garnering great success for the Chicago Red Dress Party. Furthermore, he is excited to represent such a worthy cause and make a difference for the stellar beneficiaries that are sure to gain exposure and benefit from the funds raised from this first-ever Chicago event.
